Pocketpair revealed some of the new features coming to Palworld as they celebrate their first year anniversary.
The Pokémon-like game Palworld is celebrating its one-year anniversary, and the developers are excited to talk about their upcoming plans for the popular title. Pocketpair revealed their 2025 roadmap for Palworld, which will include co-op crossplay, a final boss to trigger an “ending scenario” and more as the game is moving through its early access release. The future roadmap hinted at exciting developments extending beyond this year, offering a glimpse into features projected for 2026 that could easily fill weeks of discussion.
It has been a year and a day since Palworld graced the world on Steam. Since then, it has been dubbed as ‘Pokémon with guns’. The game quickly became 2024’s first mega-hit game, raking in over 2 million concurrent players on Steam back in January 2024. It was also recognized as the second game to ever achieve this, next to PUBG.
The open-world, multiplayer survival game Palworld had its “future roadmap” outline on a Twitter/X post today. The post also asked for fans to keep supporting the game for years to come. “We’ve been updating the game since the start of Early Access, and we’ll continue to update Palworld as we prepare for the official release,” Pocketpair said.

Pocketpair also revealed “world transfers for Pals,” further ways to strengthen and improve Pals, “various new content such as new Pals and technologies,” and game collaborations like the one with Terraria. Here is a list of all the following points highlighted in the roadmap:
- Co-op Crossplay
- World Transfers for Pals
- World Tree / Ending Scenario
- Further ways to strengthen and improve Pals
- Various new content such as new Pals and technologies
- Game Collaborations (Including Terraria)

- Improvements to UX
“We look forward to your continued support for Palworld in its second year,” the developer wrote, adding that the game’s soundtrack is now available for free on the Pocketpair YouTube channel. Pocketpair also found a new company known as Palworld Entertainment last year, following the game’s debut.
However, the company has been receiving pushback from Nintendo who officially announced they would be suing Pocketpair for infringement of “multiple” patents back in September. Later, it was revealed that Nintendo was focusing on three patents in particular. Pocketpair initially stated they were “unaware of the specific patents we are accused of infringing upon.” In a move to combat the lawsuit, Pocketpair removed the ability to summon creatures by throwing Pokéball-style Pal Spheres in the December update.
